A genuine commitment to creating a working environment where people are valued and can thrive for who they are. We will treat people fairly, with compassion, respect and dignity throughout our employment practices. We have an active BAME Networking Group and are developing other employee representative groups and events where together we provide change, support and advice.
Herefordshire Council is currently a Disability Confident Employer. Disability Confident is a voluntary government campaign to which any employer can sign up. The campaign aims to encourage employers to become more confident about employing and retaining disabled people. The Disability Confident campaign aims to address the various reasons for under-employment of disabled people, which Herefordshire Council actively engages with.
Within the Children and Young People Directorate, we have a number of dedicated and multi-disciplinary teams that support children, young people, families and carers.
